The Benefits of Bach Flower Remedies Alongside
Conventional Treatments

By Dominick Hussey

Many of the aches and pains we feel are the result of a build up emotional stress and tension. In fact I would say it applies to approximately 80% of the clients I see. The origin of this tension usually stems from a negative emotion such as anger, frustration, jealousy etc For example you might not be happy in your current working environment. Over time this muscular tension can cause misalignment of the spine, muscular weakness and finally muscular strain and pain.

Using conventional treatment techniques it is possible to resolve the pain by correcting the spinal misalignment and muscular weaknesses. However where the origin of the problem is emotional this treatment will o nly give short term relieve. By using applied kinesiology your practitioner can identify the root of the emotional problem and with the use of Bach Flower Remedy help to resolve the particular emotion reduce the muscular tension and so the treatment will be much longer lasting.

Bach Flower remedies are homeopathic medicines containing flower essences. Edward Bach developed them in the late 1800’s. He found that by prescribing these different essences to his patients he was able to help both his patient’s physical and emotional wellbeing. Over time he was able to identify which particular remedy applied to which emotion.

Ms Smith attended the Aston clinic complaining of chronic shoulder and neck pain. She had been treated by a number of different physical therapists but the problem had always reappeared. By using muscle testing I was able to identify and correct her muscle weaknesses and spine and furthermore prescribe her an appropriate Bach Flower Remedy. Within 3 treatments all her pain had gone.

Bach flower remedies have also been used to treat other stress-related problems such as IBS, eczema, headaches etc.
